Why are we running?
OUR PURPOSE Protecting our heritage Our ultimate purpose as a tourism conservation entity is to contribute sustainably to the environment, protect the incredible biodiversity of the Eastern Cape, and positively impact our surrounding communities. It is our aim that every guest at Kwandwe understands our ethos and leaves knowing that they have actively participated in what we hope has become a shared vision.
Through our vision and purpose we have created of The Ubunye Foundation to support and empower local communities through a holistic community development model.

David has been at Kwandwe for three and a half years. He has always loved walking and being boots on the ground. Getting closer to the mature and seeing animals natural behaviours. He has a true passion for giving back to conservation, and seeing wild places grow through out the world. In his spare time he enjoys flying and getting a true birds eye few of the natural wonders.
Jason Gipson is a field guide at Kwandwe private game reserve. He has been in the African bushveld for six and a half years showing guests from all over the world the magical natural beauty of the African bushveld. He enjoys birding and watching animals and interpreting how the environment around them stimulates their behaviour. He took up running last year and has since been advancing and competing in a few races. He hopes to complete a half marathon in the next few months. His hobbies include birding, mountain biking and running.
Craig is the Environmental Manager at Kwandwe. He is involved in all of the wildlife, conservation, and restoration projects on and around the reserve. Craig enjoys spending time outdoors - be it trail running, mountain biking, hiking, or fishing. Craig hopes the event will highlight the incredible biodiversity, conservation, restoration, and community work which is taking place in the Addo2Fish area.
I am a Conservation student that has been apart of the Eco team at Kwandwe for just over a year. I have a passion for both the bush and ocean. I want to help contribute to this great cause. I love spending ever opportunity I have in nature, learning and helping in every aspect of protecting our precious environment.
